A woman visits an isolated place, where people worship Pan.
According to one synopsis, "The action takes place in Deep Quarry, and deals with 'little men' gifted with evil powers who perform pagan rites. The little men had already claimed one victim when city-bred Kay Liskard and his delicate wife visit the district for a holiday. Liskard's friend, Raymond Milton, eventually discovers the secret behind these strange and horrible powers, but too late to avert the second tragedy."
