Mall train


A Mall Train or Kiddie train is an attraction resembling a small train that may or may not run on tracks.

Trackless trains

Trackless trains are popular. They are characterized by fake side wheels wheels that do not move and permanently connected cars. These trains are the most widely used and can be found at most malls. Such trains are widely modeled after steam locomotives used during the mid-1800s. They are replicas and are powered by Internal combustion engines or electricity. Track Trains

These trains move on tracks. They are more popular at amusement parks. However, some have been at malls. These trains are not to be mistaken for Live Steam, as they are powered by either electricity or internal combustion engines.

In popular culture

In season 14 episode 18 of the series Family Guy, One of the protagonists, Peter Griffin, rides a train with tracks in the mall. Peter ends up pushing the control lever too far and ends up going at dangerous speed around a circular track, and ends up hurt.
