Owen Slot is a British author and journalist, leading sports coverage for The Times and Sunday Times since 2021.
Life
Of ancient Dutch descent, the elder son of Judge Peter Slot and Eiluned née Lewis, he was educated at Bradfield College before going up to Durham University.Slot joined The Times as a sports writer in 2002, becoming its Chief Rugby Correspondent in 2014.
Three-times winner of UK Sports Reporter of the Year and three-times Sports Feature Writer of the Year, Slot has covered ten Olympic Games and every Rugby Union World Cup finals since 1995.
In addition to his other books Slot was ghostwriter for Jonny, the autobiography of Jonny Wilkinson.
Family
Married since 1998 to Juliet Mellstrom, they have three children and live at Barnes, London.Juliet Slot was appointed COO of Arsenal FC in 2021.
