Riley Gunnels

John Riley Gunnels Jr. was an American professional football player who was a defensive end for seven seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers of the National [Football League]. He played his high school football in the late 1950s at Calhoun [High School (Georgia)|Calhoun High School] in Calhoun, Georgia, where he grew up. He played college football for the Georgia [Bulldogs football|Georgia Bulldogs].
Gunnels died in South Jersey on December 9, 2024, at the age of 87.
