Sweat Engine


Sweat Engine were an American electro-industrial group based in San Diego, California, United States. Formed by vocalist Mark Deadrick and composer Trevor Henthorn in 1990, the duo embraced an industrial fusion of audio sampling and percussion. The band released Multiple Insertions on Henthorn's own label Pan Handler Production in 1996.

History

Sweat Engine was formed in 1990 by Mark Deadrick and Trevor Henthorn out of San Diego. The band released their first EP in 1990 titled Audio Degradable on Megazone Records. The following year Prey for Silence was released for Privileged Entertainment. The band was joined by vocalist Tymo Raek to recorded Multiple Insertions, released in 1996 by Pan Handler Production and Vinyl Communications. The album embraced sample and distortion laden material layered over experimental industrial compositions. The band played their final live performance in 1996.
The band returned ten years later to release the 2006 EP We Put the 'Go' in Gothic.
